How Can I Create Facebook Stories?

Now that you know what Facebook Stories are, it’s time to start learning how to create them! Stories can have a wide array of topics – they could be about what’s going on at a special event, or how to get tickets to your next live show. Whatever you want to get some attention should be posted on Facebook Stories.

There are three ways to create and post a Facebook Story:

1. Share Your Instagram Story to Your Facebook Story

If you also use Instagram and have been toying around with or are consistently using Instagram Stories, this is the best way to get your stories on Facebook. If you’re not sure if your Instagram account is a business account or if you’re linked to your Facebook, read our blog about it here. There are three steps to sharing your Instagram Stories on Facebook:

Step 1: Go to your Instagram profile by clicking on the circle icon in the bottom right corner of the screen of your phone. Then click on the cog button in the upper right.

Step 2: Click on “Story Settings.”

Step 3: Scroll down and turn on the toggle bar where it says “Share Your Story to Facebook.”

This is an easy way to share stories to Facebook if you’re already familiar with Instagram Stories, because you won’t have to learn any new tricks. The one downside to this feature is that you won’t be able to view insights on Facebook regarding your Stories like you could if you had just posted the story directly on Facebook.

2. From the Facebook App

You can also add stories to your Facebook Business Page straight from the Facebook app. There are two ways to do this. Open the app and go to your Business Page. You can create a story by clicking on the circle icon with your Business Page profile picture:

Or, you can type your post in the “Write Something” box, and when you hit “Share,” you will be able to choose where you want the post to go:
